The Chords in this section are the most popular and useful chords that sound good for playing all styles of music. Do not use 10,000 chords books. They contain 90%+ useless chords that are theoretically correct, but do not sound good, are hard to play and not systematic to memorize.
All chords shown here are always classified into 3 categories: Major, Minor or Dominant. The Dominant group includes tension building chords such as Dominant 7th, Diminished, Augmented, and Altered. Additionally, the chords are organized by "string set" - meaning, on which string the root note lies. There are 3 string sets (Low E root, A string root, and D string root).

Hello, Alex! I want to thank you for providing the chords, I am planning to use them during my guitar lessons. I began playing guitar only a few weeks ago, so I am sure there is much I should learn before I become a good player. I will follow your site and use the information you post here to improve my skills.
